YourMano helpers are everyday people ready to lend a hand — not licensed contractors. Here's a clear guide to what's in scope and what isn't.

Allowed tasks
These are the kinds of tasks our helpers are ready for:
Moving & lifting
- Moving furniture within or between rooms
- Loading and unloading a moving truck
- Carrying boxes, bags, or heavy items
- Helping with a local move (with vehicle)
Assembly & setup
- Assembling flat-pack furniture (IKEA, etc.)
- Setting up electronics, TVs, or home office equipment
- Hanging pictures, shelves, or curtain rods
- Basic mounting tasks (no electrical or structural work)
Cleaning & tidying
- General home cleaning and tidying
- Deep cleaning specific rooms or areas
- Organizing closets, garages, or storage spaces
- Post-move or pre-move cleaning
Outdoor & yard
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Weeding, mulching, and basic garden work
- Pressure washing driveways or patios
- Hauling yard waste or debris
Errands & delivery
- Grocery shopping and delivery
- Picking up or dropping off items locally
- Waiting in line or holding a spot
- General local errands
Other everyday tasks
- Pet sitting or dog walking (short-term)
- Waiting for a delivery or service technician
- General home help and odd jobs
- Event setup and breakdown
Not permitted on YourMano
To keep everyone safe and protected, the following tasks are never allowed. Requests for these will be declined.
Licensed trades
Electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, structural repairs, gas lines, or any task requiring a state license.
Medical or personal care
Medical procedures, medication administration, wound care, or any healthcare-related task.
Legal or financial services
Legal advice, financial transactions on your behalf, notarization, or document signing.
Childcare or eldercare
Babysitting, nannying, or primary care for elderly or disabled individuals as the main task.
Rideshare or passenger transport
Driving people from place to place (rideshare-style). Item delivery is fine; passenger transport is not.
Hazardous materials
Handling, transporting, or disposing of hazardous chemicals, asbestos, mold remediation, or biohazards.
Illegal activity
Any task that involves or facilitates illegal activity of any kind.
Adult content
Services of a sexual nature or any adult content creation.
